Vietjet Thailand has launched two new direct routes Kolkata and Ahmedabad to Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi Airport, with the aim of continuing their regional expansion between India and Thailand.
Amid the popularity of the country on India's international trips, the new routes are the airline’s third and fourth direct connection between the two countries.
Scheduled to begin service for the first time on November 17 later this year, the Kolkata – Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi Airport) route marks the airline’s debut connection from the City of Joy.
Flight VZ771 will depart from Kolkata at 12:20 am and arrive in Bangkok at 4:25 am, while the return flight VZ770 departs Bangkok at 21:55 pm and arrives in Kolkata at 23:20 pm. The service Kolkata - Bangkok will operate on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.
Starting December 4 in 2025, the Ahmedabad – Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi Airport) service will commence as Vietjet Thailand’s first service to and from Ahmedabad.
Flight VZ751 departs Ahmedabad at 23:55 pm and will arrive in Bangkok at 5:35 am the next day, while the return flight VZ750 departs Bangkok at 19:40 pm and will arrive in Ahmedabad at 22:55 pm. The service Ahmedabad - Bangkok will operate on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.
To mark the new services, the airline is rolling out the new routes – takeoff to Bangkok from Rs 1 with base fares starting from just Rs 1 (excluding taxes and fees).
The booking is available from July 31 to August 5 for travel between November 17 – March 28 in 2026 on Kolkata route, and travel between December 4 in 2025 to March 28 in 2026 on Ahmedabad route.
The new routes come at a time when Bangkok continues to remain a top destination for Indian travellers not only because of its nightlife but also its vibrant mix of heritage, cuisine, and shopping.
From the Grand Palace to bustling night markets and world-famous street food, the city offers something for every traveller.
Nearby, Pattaya provides a perfect coastal retreat with beaches, water activities, and family-friendly attractions.
From Bangkok, passengers can travel with the airline covering Chiang Mai, Krabi, Phuket, and more.
