The city, already reeling under a 50 per cent water cut since yesterday, will have to bear the brunt today as well due to a major pipeline burst near Bhiwandi. The pipeline 2,400 millimetre in diameter provides water to a majority of the city. The Tansa water main is undergoing a second set of repairs, after it was reinforced last Tuesday.

The city will continue to receive less water till the repair work is completed by this evening. File pic
