<h2>What&rsquo;s in the bread?</h2>
<p>The name croissant, French for crescent, was inspired by the shape of the baked item. The basic ingredients to make these pastry-cum-breads include butter, flour, sugar, salt, yeast, and milk. The secret to a flaky and fluffy croissant is butter. Butter is folded between multiple layers of dough in a process called lamination. This way, when the dough is in the oven, the butter melts and steam lifts the layers up into an airy and buttery delight. It might seem like a tedious task to make croissants at home, but all you really require is time, patience and practice.</p><p>
