ZuperMeal, a new mobile app on Mumbai's burgeoning food-and-tech start-ups block, might just be the best news for you.
Founded by Mumbai-based Pallavi Saxena, Balasubramanian A and Prabhakar Banerjee, the two-month-old app serves fare prepared by city's homemakers.

The firm has received angel funding from celebrity chef Sanjeev Kapoor and Ravi Saxena, promoters of the kitchen appliance firm, Wonderchef, along with their two foreign partners.
"Here, talent is identified; their best dishes are curated, priced and presented by us. It also enables homemakers to sell their traditional savouries, which are without additives and preservatives, use healthier oil and no added colours," informs Saxena.

What's cooking? The daily menu includes home-cooked fare like Matar Paneer with Coriander Parathas, Palak Biryani with Gujarati Kadhi to contemporary dishes like Chicken Quiches, Mushroom Tartlets and Garlic Herb Roasted Chicken with Dinner Rolls. The service is available for lunch, evening snacks and dinner. It also offers traditional made-to-order fare like besan ke laddoos, and pickles as ZuperSpecials, which needs 48 hours advance ordering. The app has 150 home chefs registered with it and delivers between Powai and Andheri (E). It sells around 60 to 70 meals a day, priced between Rs 100 to Rs 200. There are plans to expand to the rest of the city, Thane and Navi Mumbai.
