Girega

The thing I have learned about this city is that there is only one system, which is that there is no system. It is quite similar to how on some roads it is almost a rule to go by the wrong side. One odd phrase that I always come across is ‘girega’ [fall] when someone gives directions. They say, “Woh building ke left pe girega” or “Bridge yahan girega”, and I would laugh to myself, wondering, ‘Would the bridge fall when it was constructed only recently?’ But that is the way it is.
