Wouldn’t you be encouraged to run with increased vigour if you knew it’s bringing an ailing child some good? The Thane Heart Project is a marathon run and walk that ensures with every kilometre a participant completes, a hundred bucks is donated towards a child’s heart surgery. To participate in this run, one has to be at least eight years old. There are three categories — the five kilometre walk or run, the 10-km run and the 21-km timed run.

Runners can look forward to a finisher crafted medal, trophies (if they win), e-certificates, photographs, medical support, refreshments during the run, a fun zumba session before the run begins and words of gratitude from parents of children whose surgeries will be taken care of by the run.
