ACB nabs police officer while accepting bribe

The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials have arrested police sub-inspector Satish Asok Doule (24), posted at the Vishrambaug police station, on charges of accepting a bribe of Rs 20,000 for dismissing a compliant filed against a youth from Sangli.

The complainant Sandeep Buddham Sadare (26) is a resident of staff quarters of Walchand College in Vishrambaug area of Sangli. Doule had allegedly demanded Rs 20,000 from Sadare to clear his name and dismiss a complaint filed against him by the parents of a girl.

H V Bhat, deputy superintendent, ACB, said, “Doule allegedly threatened Sadare that he would be made co-conspirator in the case related to the girl if the bribe amount was not given.” He then went to the ACB office who nabbed Doule by laying a trap.u00a0
