Mumbai Police extern 12 habitual offenders in Zone-3 crackdown on violent crime

Mumbai Police's Zone-3 has externed 12 habitual offenders from the city and suburbs for one year as part of a preventive crackdown on violent crime. The accused were allegedly involved in extortion, assaults, criminal intimidation and other offences that threatened public order and created fear among residents, traders and senior citizens

The Mumbai Police Zone-3 has externed 12 habitual criminals from the city and the suburbs for one year as part of a preventive crackdown on individuals allegedly involved in violent crimes, extortion, threats, and activities disturbing public order.

The action comes after reviewing criminal records of the individuals operating under police stations in the jurisdiction of Zone-3 DCP Gajanan Rajmane. According to the police, the 12 accused had allegedly been creating fear among residents, women, senior citizens, and traders by threatening people with weapons, assaulting and abusing citizens, demanding protection money, and repeatedly committing serious cognisable offences.
