Adding to the growing incidents of atrocities against women, a 14-year-old girl from Yavat was allegedly raped on several occasions by a boy whom the victim and her family knew very well. The incident came to light after medical tests of the teenager on January 18, who was taken to Sassoon General Hospital for stomach ache and irregular periods, revealed that she was four months pregnant.

Demanding stringent action against the boy, the girl’s father accused Sachin Pakhre and his family members of pressuring them to settle the issue. He even alleged that the Pakhres warned the family of dire consequences.
