Agartala: A man was arrested on the charge of his attempt to bury alive his nine-year old daughter at Putia in Sipahijala district of Tripura, police today said.

When Abul Hussain was forcibly trying to bury her daughter Rukshena in a pit in the backyard of his residence, a neighbour saw it and raised an alarm following which locals rescued the girl yesterday, SP (Control), Uttam Bhaumick said.
