The Social Security Cell (SSC) of Pune police yesterday arrested an escort service provider and rescued two women from a flat in Balewadi after raiding the premises.

The accused, Omprakash alias Raju Chelaram Nikumbh (24), from Rajasthan, used a website to run a prostitution racket, cops said.

Inspector Sanjay Nikam said, “We got a tip-off about several sites claiming to provide escort services in Pune and its suburbs. We checked these sites and got in touch with Nikumbh who mentioned his mobile number.

He took us to the flat where the two women were kept, and we raided the premises and rescued the duo.”
