Goregaon West burglary cracked: Mumbai Police recover gold worth Rs 10.9 lakh, arrest habitual offender

The Bangur Nagar Police have arrested an alleged habitual house-breaker and recovered 100 per cent of the stolen valuables worth over Rs 10.90 lakh from a flat in Goregaon West in Mumbai's western suburbs.

The incident came to light after Krishna Shankar Aiyar (73), a retired resident of Hariratna Varsha Society in Bangur Nagar, returned home and found his flat burgled. The theft took place between April 7 and April 9, when Aiyar and his wife were away on a pilgrimage.
