Two unidentified assailants have opened fire outside a businessman’s house in the Ambernath city of Thane district on Monday. Police have initiated an investigation into the incident and are trying to find the motive behind the shootout.




The businessman has been identified as Vishwanath Panvelkar.

“Two bike-borne men had fired near Panveklar's residence. All the members in the house are safe and we are investigating the matter further," said Sachin Gore, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Zone 4, told mid-day.
