Mumbai: Maharashtra Government today admitted in the Legislative Council that hospitals run by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) are "overburdened" with patients, but there are adequate doctors to cater to them.

Raising the issue of overcrowded OPDs in the civic-run hospitals through the calling attention motion, NCP MLC Rahul Narvekar said the condition of these hospitals is deteriorating.
