The Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) has extended the temporary 10 per cent seasonal fare hike for its ordinary bus services until midnight on July 31, citing rising diesel prices and increasing operational expenses.

The temporary increase, which was introduced during the summer travel season, was originally scheduled to end at midnight on July 15. However, the state-run transport corporation has decided to continue the fare revision for another two weeks as it continues to deal with higher operating costs.
