<p>The <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/over-62-86-lakh-passengers-register-for-msrtc-ncmc-smart-cards-ahead-of-august-1-deadline-23637884" target="_blank" rel="none noopener"><strong>Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC)</strong></a> has announced 200 additional daily bus trips between Mumbai and Pune to help passengers affected by the cancellation of around 30 trains on the route.</p>
<p>The special services will begin from Saturday and aim to provide passengers with a reliable alternative mode of transport during the disruption.</p>
<p>Under the special transport plan, MSRTC will operate 200 additional ordinary bus trips every day apart from the existing 312 scheduled E-Shivneri services on the Mumbai-Pune route.</p>
<p>The move is expected to provide more travel options for passengers who depend on trains for daily and long-distance journeys between the two cities.</p>
<h2>Depots asked to increase services if needed</h2>
<p>MSRTC has instructed its concerned depots and divisions to deploy <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/msrtc-approves-private-participation-to-expand-maharashtra-pilgrimage-scheme-23637725" target="_blank" rel="none noopener"><strong>additional buses depending on passenger</strong></a> demand.</p>
<p>Officials will monitor the situation and increase services further if there is a rise in passenger numbers.</p>
<h2>Transport minister assures support</h2>
<p><a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/one-month-deadline-for-msrtc-officials-to-improve-earnings-or-face-action-maharashtra-transport-minister-pratap-sarnaik-23637404" target="_blank" rel="none noopener"><strong>Maharashtra Transport Minister Pratap Sarnaik</strong></a> said MSRTC is prepared to support passengers during the railway disruption and ensure that people are able to continue their journeys without major inconvenience.</p>
<p>He said passenger safety, convenience and timely services remain the priority, adding that more buses will be introduced if required.</p>
