100 per cent city patients had Omicron: Sero survey

Of the 237 patients whose samples were sent for genome sequencing, 103 hadn’t taken even a single dose, while 128 were fully vaccinated

The Omicron variant of novel Coronavirus was found in all the 237 samples collected in Mumbai for genome sequencing, shows the 10th round of sero survey. In the last sero survey, the figure stood at 95 per cent.

The BMC collected 376 samples, out of which 237 were from Mumbai. Among the 237 people from the city whose samples were taken, 29 are in the age group of 0-20 years, and 69 in 21-40 years age group, 69 in 41-60 years age group, 59 in 61-80 years age group and 11 in 81-100 years age group. Majority of these patients had mild symptoms.
