In a significant boost to the ambitious Vadhvan Port project, as many as 124 villagers in Maharashtra’s Palghar district have voluntarily handed over possession of their land parcels to the district administration after agreeing to government terms, officials said, reported PTI.

Voluntary land handover signals growing community trust

According to the district administration, the land handed over spans approximately 2.5 hectares in Varor village and consists of 41 subdivisions. The parcel is considered strategically important for the development of port infrastructure and had earlier been held up due to complex land survey disputes, reported PTI.
