<p><strong><a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-crime-news/article/thane-four-booked-for-cheating-man-of-rs-28-lakh-with-promise-of-rs-2-crore-loan-23249692" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Thane</a></strong> district on Monday reported as many as 14 new <strong><a href="https://www.mid-day.com/search/Covid_19-all" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Covid-19</a></strong> cases. The new cases took the infection tally to 1,96,817, according to the Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC).</p>
<p>According to a bulletin issued by the TMC on October 10, no Covid-19 related death was reported on Monday. The Covid-19 fatality toll in Thane now stands at 2,162.</p>

<p>With the addition of the latest cases, Thane currently has 134 active coronavirus cases.</p>
<p>14 Covid-19 patients recovered on October 10, taking the total number of recoveries since the beginning in the city to 1,94,512. The recovery rate in the TMC area is 98.83 per cent.</p><p>
