A 26-year-old man was found dead at Aksa beach in the morning on Wednesday. Locals called in the Malvani police when they found his body face down in the sand, and the police registered an accidental death report. His body has been sent for an autopsy at Shatabdi Hospital.

The deceased was identified as Varun Thahkappa, a resident of Mahavir Nagar in Kandivli. He had recently completed his bachelor&rsquo;s degree in engineering and was hunting for a job. His father works with a private company and Varun was an only child.

Police said the engineer left for his morning jog, like every day, on Wednesday. His body was found around 10 am, face down in the sand at the Malad beach. Locals reported it to the police, who went to the spot.
All items like his clothes, watch, spectacles were intact. Nothing appeared to be stolen or robbed. The body was identified with the help of a driving licence found in the trousers. Varun&rsquo;s parents were then informed.
In the evening, his father and neighbours, in their statement to the police, said they had no reason to suspect a murder, nor did Varun have any stress or pressure. However, the father said his son had been getting seizure attacks since the tender age of 3.
Police speculated that on Wednesday, the man may have gotten a similar attack due to which he fell face first into the sand. He could not move due to the attack and was unable to breath, ultimately leading to his death.
They added that white foam was observed near his mouth, a sign of a major seizure attack. A police officer said, &ldquo;We have registered an ADR and also taken statements of parents and neighbour, who say there is no foul play. We are awaiting the post-mortem report to conclude the case.&rdquo;
