The difference in what a 24-year-old model experienced yesterday was that this was real life, and no hero emerged out of the blue to save the day. Rather, the woman&rsquo;s zeal and prudence resulted in the arrest of the alleged offenders. According to PSI Viayanand Patil from Oshiwara police station, the woman was driving her car in Andheri (West) around 1am on Thursday when she noticed a Mahindra Scorpio tailing her.u00a0 The vehicle soon overtook her and the four men inside began hooting and making vulgar gestures. Alarmed, the victim took a U-turn from the road leading to Adarsh Nagar and drove to the police station nearby. However, the victim had memorised the number on the Scorpio&rsquo;s licence plate, which helped cops nab the quartet later. &ldquo;The woman was alert enough to note down the vehicle&rsquo;s registration number and approach the police station without losing her calm,&rdquo; said a police officer. The victim told the police that reading about the Delhi rape case had unnerved her and she had assumed the four persons following her were rapists. The men &ndash; identified as Rajiv Tiwari (21), Dinesh Soye (25), Sanjay Yadav (21) and his brother Ajay Yadav (22) &ndash; were arrested by police yesterday. Later, they were presented before a court and released on bail. Cops said that the accused, all aspiring actors, stay together in a room at Taraporewala Garden in Goregaon (West). They try to find work in Bollywood films during the day and attend parties at night in order to get noticed. &ldquo;The four were returning from one such event when the incident took place,&rdquo; said an officer from the Oshiwara police station. Following the episode, female cops and senior officers of Oshiwara police station held a meeting with local women, offering suggestions on how to stay safe, especially during Christmas and New Year&rsquo;s Eve. &ldquo;We told the women that they could call the helpline number 103 in case of any emergency or scare, and to spread awareness among others,&rdquo; said Dilip Rupwate, senior inspector of Oshiwara police station.u00a0
