<p>A 44-year-old man died by <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/mumbai-28-yr-old-man-drowns-in-a-stream-in-malad-23298920" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">drowning</a> into a nullah in <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/search/vasai-all" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Vasai</a> on Thursday.</p>
<p>The incident took place in Girij, Vasai West. The man had been identified as Brian Carvalho, a resident of Satodiwadi.</p>
<p>According to sources, at around 11 am Brian had ventured out of the house amid heavy rain to buy eatables but he accidentally fell down in a nullah nearby his house.</p>
<p>The family members rescued him and took him to Bangli Hospital.</p>
<p>After receiving the initial treatment, the doctors declared him dead at around 10 pm.</p>
<p>The Vasai police station had registered a case of Accidental Death Report (ADR) in this matter.</p>
