A retired doctor allegedly committed suicide by hanging from a fan in his residence at Joravar Bhuvan, Fort.

According to the police, Pratap Shroff (91), was frustrated with his life and frequent illnesses in his old age.

"When nobody was at home, he allegedly hanged himself," said a police officer from Azad Maidan police station.
"When the doctor's son returned home, he found that nobody was answering the door. So, he broke open the door and found his father hanging from the fan," said the officer. The police did not find any suicide note at the spot.
