Railway Protection Force (RPF) constable Jullu Yadav, the hero of the Mumbai terror attacks at CST, has been issued a show cause notice by the Railway administration. The notice is part of a six-month-old disciplinary inquiry pending against Yadav.

When Yadav got into a scuffle with a sub-inspector six months back, the matter was reported to the superiors and an inquiry was ordered against him. "There is nothing serious about the show cause notice. It's part of a procedural process that has to be completed. It is not a case of victimisation. The inquiry has to be completed," said an RPF officer.

However, Yadav could not be contacted for his reaction despite repeatedu00a0 efforts.

Yadav displayed exemplary courage while fighting terrorists at CST. The RPF constable was unarmed and was posted at the gate of the general manager's office, when the terrorists struck. Yadav, despite being unarmed, took the rifle of another constable and fired at the terrorists engaging them for a while.

Railway Minister Lalu Prasad later announced a reward of Rs 10 lakh and also felicitated him.
