A day after government rap, Adani ramps up power supply

Situation improves a bit but not sufficient for avoiding power cuts in the state firm’s electricity distribution areas

The electricity shortage being faced by the state utility has decreased a bit as Adani Power’s Tiroda thermal plant increased its supply from 1700MW to 2250MW on Friday, and ensured to restore the contractual obligation of 3100MW from the wee hours of Saturday. However, power cuts had to be enforced, not as Thursday, because of the deficit, said the company.
