An activist from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) was booked by officials of the Vinoba Bhave (VB) Nagar police station for indirectly asking a 25-year-old woman for sexual favours.u00a0 The accused, identified as Dindayal Vinaykumar Raj, solicited sex at the victim&rsquo;s residence in Kurla on Monday at 5 pm. According to officials, the accused had lodged a complaint against the woman&rsquo;s father for constructing illegal structures, following which BMC officials, along with the local police, reached the spot and demolished it. Senior Inspector Subhash Balkrishna Raut of the VB Nagar police station said, &ldquo;During the demolition drive, Raj, BMC officials and the woman&rsquo;s father had a nasty argument. Later, Raj registered a non-cognizable (NC) offence against the victim&rsquo;s father, claiming that the man had threatened to kill him. He sat at the police station for two hours, demanding that the victim&rsquo;s father be summoned to the police station at once. So we despatched a couple of constables with him to get the man.&rdquo; On reaching the victim&rsquo;s residence, Raj and the constables learnt that the victim&rsquo;s parents have gone to the BMC office to enquire about the complainant, following which the constables left. &ldquo;It was then that Raj barged into the victim&rsquo;s house and threatened he that he would not allow even a legal construction to come up, if she refused to cooperate with him,&rdquo; said another official, on condition of anonymity. Raj was booked under sections 354, 504 and 506 of the Indian Penal code. He was produced in Kurla court yesterday and was remanded in judicial custody. Later, he was bailed out. u00a0
