After HC rap, senior IPS officer Rajneesh Seth appointed DGP

After the Bombay High Court’s rap over the delay in appointment, the state government on February 10 informed the court that it would “reconsider” its representation to the UPSC to reassess IPS officer Sanjay Pandey’s name for the post of Maharashtra DGP

Maharashtra government on Friday appointed senior IPS officer Rajneesh Seth as the new director general of police (DGP). Seth will take over the charge from Sanjay Pandey, who had the additional charge of the DGP office since April 2021.
The order was signed by the state joint secretary, Venkatesh Bhat.
