In an unusual appeal that has drawn widespread attention in Maharashtra, a 34-year-old farmer’s son from Akola district has written to NCP (SP) chief Sharad Pawar, seeking help not for employment or financial support, but for a wife.

The handwritten letter, submitted to Pawar during his recent visit to Akola, has since gone viral on social media. In it, the man openly expresses his struggle to find a life partner despite multiple attempts. "I’m getting older, and it now feels like I may never get married. Please consider my loneliness and help me find a life partner. I’m even ready to become a ghar jamai. I promise to work hard and be a good husband," he wrote.
