Mumbai University Vice Chancellor, Sanjay Deshmukh, was on Tuesday evening sacked for the long delay in declaring the results of over four lakh students.
Maharashtra Governor C. V. Rao sacked Deshmukh, citing "gross negligence and failure" in declaration of examination results, an official announcement said here.
