Eight-year-old Adil Mirza, who is being treated in the burn ward at Thane Civil Hospital after being sexually assaulted and burnt in Bhiwandi last week, wants to meet his younger brother and four other siblings who accompanied him for a vacation to Mumbai.
&ldquo;I want to go home, I want to meet my brother, I want to forget the incident,&rdquo; Adil said.
While Adil and his family is settled in UP, his father works in the handloom industry and stays in Bhiwandi, and the family was visiting their father over the holidays.
An FIR has been filed by the boy's father against Ganesh Yadav, Vishal Malvaukar and Gangaram at the Padma Nagar Police Station. The trio have been arrested and booked under various sections of Indian Penal Code including unnatural sex, kidnapping, attempt to murder, sodomy and also Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act 2012. All three accused are 18 years old.
&ldquo;The three accused will be under police custody till Thursday,&rdquo; said Bhiwandi DCP Sudhir Dabhade told mid-day.
The incident took place Adil had gone out to eat at a langar on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti where he was spotted by the three accused whom Adil had he met once, a day prior to the tragic incident.
Adil was found missing from 10 am on Saturday and found by his parents at the Thane Civil hospital, where he is currently being treated, after a search of eight hours. The hospital authorities said that the boy is recovering from 40% burn injuries in his lower body. According to the neighbours, Adil had arrived in Bhiwandi the same day and he hardly knew any one in the area.
&ldquo;It was shocking for us to know about the incident,&rdquo; said Kashinat Shah, one of the neighbours.
On the day of the incident, Adil was taken to a place behind the loom factories by the three men, &ldquo;I stay two doors away from the place of incident but I heard nothing because of the loud noise of the looms. Had we heard anything we could have taken quick action,&rdquo; said, Ashok Patel, a resident of Bhiwandi.
The boy was rescued by two men after they noticed heavy smoke and smell of burning flesh, added Patel.
&ldquo;I don&rsquo;t want to keep him here for a long time, he is recovering and soon we shall go back to Uttar Pradesh,&rdquo; said Adil&rsquo;s mother.
