Mumbai: BJP proposes Northeast species enclosure at Byculla zoo in vacant elephant habitat

The BJP has proposed a dedicated Northeast species enclosure at Mumbai's Byculla zoo, featuring animals such as the Clouded Leopard, Red Panda, Hoolock Gibbon and Binturong. The plan also suggests using the zoo's 3D theatre for wildlife documentaries to generate revenue

The BJP has proposed setting up a dedicated ‘Northeast Species’ enclosure at Byculla zoo in the vacant elephant habitat. The facility would feature animals native to the Northeast region, including the Clouded Leopard, Red Panda, Hoolock Gibbon, and Binturong.
