Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) Commissioner Ashwini Bhide on Wednesday conducted an inspection of sanitation work in Mankhurd and Govandi in Mumbai's eastern suburbs, reviewing the progress of cleanliness initiatives and the functioning of the civic body's garbage collection system.
The visit included inspections of sanitation facilities, interactions with frontline workers, and a surprise review of the route followed by a garbage compactor vehicle to assess the efficiency of waste collection operations. The inspection comes as the civic body continues to strengthen its solid waste management efforts across the city.
