The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation’s (BMC) R Central ward office — which covers areas in Borivli East, Borivli West, and Gorai — has launched a special post-Ganeshotsav cleanliness drive to clear scrap left behind following Ganesh idol visarjans at various locations.
Waste, scrap removal
Civic workers carried out a cleanup operation at Gorai beach on September 27. The focus shifted to the area outside Borivali railway station on the western side on Tuesday, where civic workers were deployed to remove waste and scrap from the vicinity. The area outside the station is a high-footfall zone and witnesses heavy pedestrian movement throughout the day. Civic officials said the ongoing operation is aimed at ensuring that no waste is left behind.
