In a bid to alleviate floodwater woes of Mumbaikars during monsoon, the BMC has proposed to add another rescue machine to its arsenal. A Quick Response Vehicle equipped with dewatering pumps, jetting system and other useful tools will give immediate response to various types of complaints, from stormwater drains to nullahs, across the city.
There are at least 121 flooding spots in the city which are yet to be tackled. Of these, 43 are under various authorities and private owners and need coordination with the civic body.
