Raj and Uddhav Thackeray campaign from party shakhas in Mumbai as BMC Election 2026 near

The two leaders, who have reunited politically after nearly 20 years of estrangement, are choosing shakha visits over large public rallies. Their parties--Shiv Sena (UBT) and MNS--are contesting the BMC elections as part of an alliance with the Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Pawar faction)

Shiv Sena (UBT) president Uddhav Thackeray and Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray on Tuesday stepped up campaigning for the BMC Election 2025 by visiting party offices, known as shakhas, across Mumbai, reported the PTI.

The civic polls will be held on January 15, with counting scheduled for January 16.
