With two days left for candidates to file nominations for the upcoming Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections scheduled, several candidates across party lines are set to file their nominations today — Monday.
The Indian National Congress (INC) is set to hold a nomination rally for candidates from Malad and Kandivali. INC announced that seven candidates will participate in the rally, including Youth leader Haider Ali Shaikh, Qumarjaan Jahan Siddique, Rafiq Shaikh, Parminder Bhamra, Congress leader Parag Shah, Sangeeta Koli, and Sirenna Kinny.
Bharatiya Janata Party’s Harshita Narvekar and Makarand Narvekar, from South Mumbai’s A ward corresponding to Colaba, are also likely to file their nominations on Monday, according to information from the Bharatiya Janata Party.
Additionally, Neil Somaiya, son of BJP senior leader Kirit Somaiya and a first-time corporator in 2017, is set to file his nomination from Mulund West on Monday afternoon.
