Former MNS leader Prakash Mahajan joins Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena ahead of BMC Elections 2026

Prakash Mahajan had quit the MNS earlier this year, citing differences with the party leadership. His induction into the Shiv Sena took place at the party’s headquarters in the presence of Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde

Former Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) leader Prakash Mahajan on Friday joined the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena, just two weeks before the BMC Elections 2026, reported the PTI.

Mahajan is the brother of late BJP leader Pramod Mahajan and had been associated with the Raj Thackeray-led MNS since its formation in 2006.
