After the lawyer of the arrested students in the BMS paper leak case argued that they should be allowed to sit for their exams on Monday, the Amboli police said that they would give them permission only if the court approves of it. The students would then be escorted by police officers to the exam centre and taken back into custody later.

Meanwhile, taking a step further in the case, the cops arrested three more people in connection with the paper leak on Sunday. Investigation revealed that Kalpesh Bagul, the computer technician of a Kandivali-based college, emailed the question paper to another accused in the case, Irfan Khatri. He was arrested along with two other students on Saturday night. Khatri works for an online portal of movie tickets.

Papers emailed Police sources said that Bagul had emailed a total of nine papers, for each of which he was paid Rs 2,000-3,000. It has been learnt that Bagul allegedly emailed the papers to Khatri, who sold them to students for Rs 10,000 each.
The money was paid to him either through cash or online transactions. Speaking to mid-day, a police officer said, "While scanning the cell phones of the accused who were arrested earlier, we got to know about the role of the other three. All 13 of them were produced before the court on Sunday and sent to police custody for a day."
He further said, "We are waiting for the court order. If the court gives permission, then the students will be allowed to sit for the exam on Monday."
