Bollywood choreographer Geeta Kapur today approached the Bombay High Court seeking to quash a case&nbsp;registered against for rash and negligent driving and injuring&nbsp;a person, on the ground that she has already reached a&nbsp;financial settlement with the victim.&nbsp;

Advocate Sachin Shetye, appearing for Kapur, informed&nbsp;a division bench of Justices R V More and Anuja Prabhudessai&nbsp;that the choreographer and the victim - Nisar Noormohammed&nbsp;(37) - and his family have arrived at a financial settlement&nbsp;and hence sought the case to be quashed.

"We are seeking quashing by consent. Soon after the&nbsp;accident, Kapur took the victim to Kokilaben Hospital and&nbsp;made sure that he was treated. The victim suffered one&nbsp;fracture on his right knee. Kapur has borne his medical&nbsp;expenses which has till date summed up till Rs seven lakh. She&nbsp;has given the victim additional Rs three lakh in cheque,"&nbsp;Shetye told the court.
Advocate Niranjan Mogre, appearing for the victim's&nbsp;family, informed the court that the cheque has been received.
The High Court, however, was not satisfied and queried&nbsp;if the Rs three lakh amount was sufficient. The court then&nbsp;asked Nisar, who was present in court on a wheelchair, if he&nbsp;and his family are happy with the settlement amount.&nbsp;
Nisar, however, told the court that the amount will&nbsp;not suffice as he is out of work since the accident in March&nbsp;this year. "I am an electrician by profession. Since the&nbsp;accident, I am sitting at home. I have two children to look&nbsp;after. The lady (Kapoor) has paid for my medical expenses but&nbsp;I am not satisfied," Nisar told the court.
The court then said it would not pass any order in the&nbsp;matter today and adjourned it for two weeks during which time&nbsp;the parties involved shall have another meeting and decide on&nbsp;the settlement terms.
On March 12 this year, 42-year-old Kapur was arrested&nbsp;after her Sedan knocked down Nisar who was crossing the road&nbsp;at suburban Versova. Kapur did not flee from the spot and&nbsp;took the victim to hospital.
She was later called to police station and arrested&nbsp;for rash and negligent driving and causing hurt to another&nbsp;person. She was released on bail later.&nbsp;
