Borivli cops hunting for 'killer' doctor

Suspecting the involvement of a doctor in disposing of the body of an accident victim, the Borivli police are now searching across all the city hospitals for a breakthrough in a murder case

Suspecting the involvement of a doctor in disposing of the body of an accident victim, the Borivli police are now searching across all the city hospitals for a breakthrough in a murder case.

According to the police officials, on Thursday, a body of an unidentified man was discovered near the Bhagat Nursing Home at Ganjawala Road.

Based on a missing person's complaint filed by his relatives on Wednesday with the Kasturba Marg police which the officials stumbled upon during investigations the deceased was identified as a 45-year-old Lakshman Satpal.

"When we first saw the body, the head was heavily bandaged and a saline needle was embedded in the wrist.

We suspect that the victim was injured in an accident and the accused might have taken him to a doctor, who must have helped him in disposing the body after the patient died," said a police officer from Borivali police station. Autopsy report confirmed that the victim had succumbed to his head injuries.
