Six boys, all in the age group of 13 to 18 years, have been arrested on Wednesday night for sexually assaulting a 9-year-old boy since the past eight months in Nalasopara (East).
The accused had thrashed the victim for refusing to indulge with them, which was noticed by the latter&rsquo;s uncle, who then narrated it to the victim&rsquo;s mother.
Beaten black and blue Upon returning to his house, the mother asked the Std V student about the reason behind the thrashing. What she heard shocked her beyond belief and she immediately approached the Waliv police station to lodge a complaint.
Mastermind is a minor In the police complaint, she narrated that the youngest accused, a 13-year-old is the mastermind behind the whole crime and that he is a childhood friend of her son.
She further said that her son was forced into a sexual relationship with the accused, who later involved his five friends and all of them used to sexually exploit the victim.
The victim always complied with the demands, as the accused threatened that he would tell his mother that he watched porn.
A case has been registered against all the accused under IPC sections 377 (Unnatural offences), 506 (Punishment for criminal intimidation) and under sections 4, 8, 12 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO Act) 2012.
While the 18-year-old has been remanded to police custody, the other minor accused have all been sent to Bhiwandi correctional home.
