CBI to investigate Disha Salian death case, says Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis

The Bombay High Court ordered a CBI probe into the death of Disha Salian on September 2 and an FIR in the case was filed on September 14

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Tuesday said the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) will investigate the Disha Salian death case and that it is improper to engage in any kind of speculation in this matter. He said the court had directed that the matter be transferred to the CBI, and the agency subsequently registered a First Information Report (FIR); however, he stated that he had not yet seen the FIR.
HC orders CBI probe
On September 2, the Bombay High Court ordered a CBI probe into Salian’s death while pulling up the Mumbai Police for failing to register an FIR for six years, observing that its investigation raises more questions than answers.
