CBSE results: Girls outshine boys yet again

<p>87.56% girls passed the exam compared to 77.77% boys in the country; in the Chennai region (which covers Maharashtra), 92.13% girls passed the exam compared to 90.37% boys</p>

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced the results for the class XII examinations on Monday and according to statistics shared by the board, the total pass percentage stood at 82 per cent (.07 per cent less compared to 2014).
While results of all 10 regions in the country were announced on Monday, state specific information was not made available. Chennai region (which covers Maharashtra) scored an overall pass percentage of 91.14 per cent, second only to Thiruvananthapuram region with a pass percentage of 95.41 per cent.
