After two years in Mumbai, Central Railway Mumbai's outgoing Divisional Railway Manager SK Jain said that the flooding problem around Sion-Kurla stretch can be permanently fixed by having a pumping station at Mahul creek and that he has taken up the issue with the BMC. Credited with building 52 foot-over bridges, running Rajdhani Express and correcting the harbour line train wheel problem, Jain's two-year-term has been one of the most challenging ones with two consecutive rail ministers from Mumbai and his performance minutely monitored.
He said he had just finished the groundwork preparation for running the Central Railway Mumbai's first AC local train soon that will arrive next month in December 2019.
