Even while he&rsquo;s behind bars, underworld don Chhota Rajan is set to cause serious damage to the D-company. Rajan&rsquo;s testimony will now be used as evidence for the extradition of Dawood Ibrahim&rsquo;s aide, Syed Muzzakir Mudassar Hussain alias Munna Jhingada &mdash; a fugitive whom India has been trying to bring back from Thailand for years.
Tussle with Pak As a sharp-shooter for D-company, Jhingada led the attack on Rajan in Thailand in 2000 and was also convicted for it. For years, his extradition has been at the centre of a diplomatic tussle between India and Pakistan. As a close aide to Dawood and Chhota Shakeel, Jhingada knows details of the 1993 Mumbai blasts, as well D-gang&rsquo;s alleged nexus with the Pakistan government.

However, Pakistan opposed all attempts to bring him to India, going as far as to supply a forged Pakistani passport for him.
Detailed dossier This time, the CBI and MEA are leaving no stone unturned to ensure he is extradited. After five months of hard work, they have prepared a detailed dossier with his fingerprints, birth and death certificates of his daughter, DNA samples from his kin, residential proof and college documents &mdash; all of which prove that he is an Indian national.

But their smoking gun is none other than Rajan and his statement in the CBI chargesheet: &ldquo;He attacked me in 2000, it was he who opened fire at my men. Somehow I managed to escape. He is an Indian citizen who lives in Prem Nagar, in Jogeshwari.&rdquo;
On Monday, the police left for Bangkok for the final negotiations to bring Jhingada back to India. Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) Sanjay Saxena confirmed, &ldquo;Yes, the team has gone to Bangkok with documents, including the chargesheet containing Chhota Rajan&rsquo;s statement.&rdquo;
