Covid-19 cases, deaths in Mumbai dip; TPR rises to 1 per cent

Officials confirm 323 more infections and seven fatalities; state reports rise in deaths at 231

The test positivity rate (TPR) in the city rose to 1 per cent on Friday from 0.96 per cent the day before. However, there was a marginal drop in daily cases and fatalities fell below 10 once again. According to the BMC’s Friday data, Mumbai confirmed 323 more infections and seven deaths. 

On Thursday, the city had registered 13 COVID-19 fatalities. Of the seven deaths, five patients had comorbidities, four were senior citizens and three were in the 40-59 years age group.
