Maharashtra continues to record 3,000-plus daily cases of COVID-19, with Mumbai contributing 657 infections to the tally on Sunday. With the latest addition of 3,558 cases, the overall infections across the state since the pandemic broke out stand at 19.69 lakh.

In the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, Thane, Navi Mumbai and Kalyan-Dombivli recorded 132, 81 and 130 cases respectively. The virus claimed 34 lives across the state in 24 hours up to Sunday evening, taking the total fatalities to 50,061.
