Covid-19: Mumbai sees marginal rise in daily cases, deaths fall to 4, says BMC

BMC confirms 267 new cases, reports test positivity rate at 0.71 per cent on Sunday; state sees dip in infections

After recording the second Covid-19 wave’s lowest test positivity rate (TPR) on Saturday, at 0.71 per cent, Mumbai witnessed a marginal rise in the figure on Sunday to 0.74 per cent. According to BMC, the number of new cases also went up, but only by five, to 267.
Fatalities due to the novel Coronavirus infection dropped to four on Sunday. On Saturday, the civic body had confirmed six casualties. All the four deceased patients had comorbidities, and while three were senior citizens, one was in the 40-59 years age group.
