Covid-19: Mumbai’s doubling rate improves, state records 443 deaths

Maharashtra also sees marginal drop in Covid-19 cases, but deaths continue to be on a higher side

After recording 929 cases on May 28, the lowest in the second wave, Mumbai witnessed a marginal rise in daily Covid-19 cases on Friday. However, the city saw a dip in Covid-19 fatalities and reported 25 deaths on Friday.

Mumbai had a marginal rise in test positivity rate, but maintained TPR below 4 per cent. The TPR was 3.14 per cent on Friday, lowest so far in the second wave. It was 3.91 per cent on Saturday.
