Dr Tatyarao Lahane, director of Directorate of Medical Education and Research said, “We have seen the new cases stabilising in 19 districts across the state. The numbers will come down further in the next 15 days. The stabilisation will be replicated across the other districts too in the coming days,” he said. “This trend has reduced the load on our medical infrastructure also. There is no problem now with the oxygen supply,” added Lahane.

The BMC has added 200 more beds to Goregaon’s NESCO Jumbo COVID centre, which could accommodate 2,200 patients earlier. The centre will get another 1,300 more beds to become a 3,700-bed facility. It will then have 1,000 beds with oxygen supply.
